You did great! I'm very proud of you. If he is searching for those "facts" he'll soon learn that they don't exist. I wouldn't waste too much more of my time with him. It is a waste of time. Time is all we have.

1. Nobody knows what heaven is like OR if there IS a heaven
2.No one knows what happens after death until you get there.
3. There may not be anything
I was seriously injured recently when I was in a crosswalk and a van hit me. Later I was laying on a bed and couldn't breathe (collapsed lung, broken ribs, elbow, ruptured spleen) I dawned on me that I was dying. It wasn't scary I knew I was just going to go. I really wasn't so bad. I even thought that I would finally know the big secret. Then the ambulence took me to the hosp.

What did you/do you think about at the meetings?
by tornapart inif you still go or remember the days when you did what did you think about while you were sat there?

I actually took notes to keep my mind on the meetings. I had a study I tried to convince to take notes and she said, "Show me that in the Bible" so I finally found, "And they took no note till the flood swept them away". We had a good laugh at that. Assemblies. Jeez. 8 dayers, sitting in the sun, (fainted once and then got smart and worked in the snow cone deal) I think I just went kinda Zen. I still can do that if I am caught in a looooong session of sh.t. Even if it is something I want to know about I have to do the note thing to keep my mind from evacuating the premise.

by Tuesday infrom what i've researched these religions seem to believe almost everything the jws do, with very minor differences.
i'm curious if anyone here is part of one of these religions or knows a place that i can go to find out all their beliefs to see every difference?.

Everything is REALLY going to be OK. I mean it. Decide how you want to live your life and what kind of person you want to be. Then work towards that. Make goals....graduate high school...college...work. Don't forget to have respectable good times. Don't get involved with anything you wouldn't want printed on the front page of the newspaper or on TV. Your sleep will return. You have just had a big jolt of reality. When any religion says you can't read (fill in the blanks) (the Catholiks have banned books) ask WHY...What are THEY afraid of. Truth is truth and if you read something that shakes it up then it's not truth.

Was Your Experience As A Jehovah's Witness Good In Any Way?
by minimus ini was raised as a witness.
i could've been raised as a catholic but my mother's side of the family came into "the truth" when i was an infant.
i do believe that because of my upbringing, i was a more honest person.

The whole experience fell quite short of good. Of course I was always considered to have fallen short as well. I'm not going to give them any better than they gave me. It was very crazy making.

Do You Ever Feel Invisible?

I have a friend who thought she was invisible after drinking a whole bottle of wine by herself. I likewhat THOT said. You are not invisible...other people are blind.
